Dear Referees,

It has been brought to our attention that the Show-Me Games are organizing a league to compete with other central Missouri USSF affiliated youth leagues. While organizing a new league is within any organization’s rights, misrepresenting it’s status with United States Soccer Federation is not.

Based on the recent information from Missouri’s Referee Administration, US-Soccer’s Director of Registration/Administration but contradictory to recent information by Show-Me officials, this league is NOT affiliated, sanctioned NOR in any shape or form blessed by United States Soccer Federation.

Show-Me organization is still extended the courtesy of utilizing US-Soccer registered referees during their Summer games in conjunction with Show-Me games. However that fact was not intended to extend to other non-summer activities. As a result, Show-Me game’s Spring league is NOT considered affiliated NOR blessed by US-Soccer in any way, shape or form.

It is the responsibility of my office, Central District Administration to inform all referees that if referees officiate these league’s games they will NOT be protected by the liability insurance of the US-Soccer. These games will NOT be counted toward your game count, upgrade requirements, NOR any US-Soccer assessment. Furthermore any US-Soccer registered assignor that assigns these games will NOT be protected under United States Soccer Federation’s by-laws.
